My husband and why i am so damn lucky

Posted on the 23rd Jun, 2008

Where do I start? How do I describe the amazing man that I am going to marry next year, and intend to spend the rest of my life with? His name is Karl, and we’ve been together since September 2002 (almost 6 yrs now) when I was in my final year of high school.  (More)

But when it's dick-o-clock...

Posted on the 21st Jun, 2008

Wise Margaret Cho once said “Being a fag hag is great, until it becomes about dick o’clock. That’s about 12:15 at night. That’s when fag hags don’t exist anymore. If you don’t have a dick you had better leave the bar! You could be Judy Garland coming back from the dead at dick o’clock, and no gay man gives a sh*t! [laughs] If you don’t have a dick, leave! They should organize a fag hag shuttle to pick up all the fag hags when the clock strikes dick!”   (More)

Kylies 40th Birthday - a sexy surprise

Posted on the 2nd Jun, 2008

I’d been looking forward to this since January when Robbie from Samesame made the prop to me for online sponsorship. Unfortunately my client didn’t want to sponsor, despite having a large float in Mardi Gras. Go figure. I am glad the venue changed from Columbian to Stonewall and from 40 hours to one night only…  (More)

10 years since Andrew left

Posted on the 6th May, 2008

It has been 10 years since Andrew left this world. He took his own life around June 1998, when I was aged 13. Andrew was a close family friend, who had seen me grow up since I was a toddler. He was a beautiful Asian gay boy aged 28, struggling internally with issues of coming out, career choice and expressing himself openly.  (More)

In late September next year (2009) – I will be married to my main straight man in my life who I have been with for over 5 ½ years. I took the liberty of discussing how this may affect my social life, or more importantly, my treasured relationships with my close fag friends.  (More)

Token Asian Faghag - why i am

Posted ages ago

hi I am usually always asked by new gay boys how i got onto the scene or why i have so many (hot) gay boy friends... and i guess i have a myriad of answers. I mean, sometimes being a faghag is hard work (but damn fun) and its not for every fun loving straight girl. So my first answer is usually - oh all my best friends are gay boys. The first i started getting onto the scene with was jason - whom i met at uni. I love dancing, dressing up, looking like a tart at times, hugs and kisses, and doing stupid poses in photos. All these initial loves helped me become the bangle i am today. Secondly - my next door neighbour who i grew up with since i was 5 came out on his 18th birthday. Then it was party hardy and i love him all the more. Finally, and the saddest most potent one. When i was 13 - almost 10 yrs ago now, a family friend of mine (Andrew) who was gay commit suicide. I was a bit young to understand, but i knew why...and i always knew he was gay. I loved him like a big brother despite not seeing him much. But we talked on the phone late at night and he was such a beautiful guy inside and out. So thoughtful and gentle. Things were much harder with stronger homophobia coupled with racism (Andrew was Malaysian chinese like me)...and pressure was pretty bad. Theres usually not a week that goes by without me wishing he could see me now and how much fun we'd have. I miss him. I never want any gay boy to feel so bad he thinks he has no way out but to end it all. I try to be as supportive of my boys as i can and i love them all (some more than others hehe). When i have kids and if i happen to have a gay son - i'd be cheering, cos I know he would have plenty of support from myself, family and my future posse of gay uncles. i've blurbed enough - but these are the main reasons i love being a faghag. But Jason says 'being a faghag is only one of her many talents'. haha
